Find and Achieve Balance in your Life
A little motivation to start the week
Finding, achieving and maintaining your balance in life is a key to happiness – so they say. And that balance is quite delicate. Which is why all too often we can find ourselves feeling off kilter. So, what might this balancing act involve?
In short, have a think in terms of ‘Doing,’‘Having’, and just ‘Being’.
‘Doing’ involves not only tasks you need to fulfil each day, some of which may be fairly standard and mundane, but also, more ambitious activities such as (in my case) perfecting my guitar skills or walking each day to fulfil my goal of walking 1000 miles in one year.
‘Having’ involves those things in life you enjoy, whether that be a nice new pair of country boots, a treasured book to read from your favourite second hand bookshop or your own feeling of peace, security and freedom.
‘Being’ is finding that sense of who you are – getting comfortable and confident in your own skin. There can also be those moments where you feel you are right where you need to be at this moment in time and you’re happy in who you are.
Why not do some self-analysis and see how in tune with each other these various aspects of your life are? Is there room for improvement or further focus?
